Indian Constitution does not believe in absolute freedom. The constitution has made provision for differentiated equality. Rights as well as freedom has been conceived as a positive concept. Hence the weaker section and vulnerable elements in the society have been protected by special provisions. However these provisions are not in contravention to the philosophy of Right to Equality.
